1. Check Your Internet Connection

This might sound basic, but it’s often the culprit. You need a good internet connection to let WhatsApp load new updates or upload your Status.

• Open Safari and visit any website for testing. If it loads slowly, your network is likely to blame.
• Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see if the issue persists.
• If you’re on Wi-Fi, try restarting your router.
• Disable any VPN if you use one.

Go to Control Center, turn on Airplane Mode, wait 10 seconds, and tap it again to off. This trick can refresh your connection.

2. Restart WhatsApp or Your iPhone

At times, apps do not refresh when running in the background for a long time and it becomes a reason your WhatsApp status not showing uploads from your contacts. In such a case, we recommend you force quit the app and relaunch it.

Ask them to follow this steps:

1. Open WhatsApp and go to the Settings tab.
2. Select Privacy from the menu and tap on Status.
3. Here, tap Edit next to My contacts except… and check the list.
