How to Disable Instagram Activity Status on iPhone and Android Phone

Due to privacy concerns, you may want to turn off Instagram online status indicator on your iPhone or Android device. Dive right in to discover how it's done the quick way!

“Instagram” has updated its app to show the activity status indicator dot. Thus, you can quickly find out who is online to start the conversation. Though it can be helpful in many ways, there is one downside of this feature as it exposes your privacy. But worry not, you have the option to disable your Instagram activity status if you don’t want to show your online status.

A green dot shows below the profile picture when a user is online. You can check out the green status indicator dot in your Direct inbox and friends list. The app lets you view the status of the people you follow and the ones with whom you have talked using the Direct.
