Jack Schmidt, aka Jack the Clown, has landed in Fortnite as part of the latest lineup of Item Shop cosmetics. This marks the debut of the Halloween Horror Nights character in the game, joining other newcomers this month, such as Freddy Fazbear from Five Nights at Freddy’s and Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street.
The Jack the Clown skin and its related cosmetics are available individually or as part of the Jack the Clown Bundle. While the skin alone costs 1,500 V-Bucks, the complete bundle is available at a discounted price of 2,000 V-Bucks. All these items are available only until October 12 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET.
How to claim Jack the Clown skin in Fortnite
- In Fortnite, navigate to the Shop tab.
- Scroll down to the Halloween Horror Nights section (under Fortnitemares) and select Jack the Clown skin.
- Finally, press and hold the Purchase button to confirm your decision.
When you purchase the Jack the Clown skin, you also get the Jack the Clown in the Box back bling at no additional cost. The back bling is also available separately in the Shop for players who only want that particular item.

Final thoughts
Throughout October, the Fortnitemares event is setting the mood for the Halloween season with several major collaborations that have either already arrived or are coming soon. The arrival of Jack the Clown is the latest addition to this year’s celebrations.
Fortnitemares isn’t limited to horror-themed cosmetics, either. The event also brings gameplay changes, Battle Royale map updates, and other spooky additions. New Sprites, such as the Vampire Sprite and Spooky Dash Sprite, are among the notable additions this year. As October progresses, we can expect even more Fortnitemares content to arrive in Fortnite.
