Since bursting onto the scene in 2017, Fortnite has grown in stature and evolved as a multiplayer title unlike any of its contemporaries. From diversifying its game modes to launching attractive seasonal content, Epic Games has enacted different strategies to augment its live-service game’s growth over the years.
Throughout its existence, Fortnite’s popularity has also been boosted by its regular collaborations with highly successful and established franchises, ranging from Marvel to Harry Potter. Courtesy of these tie-ups spawning a wide range of themed items, pop culture icons like Batman and Iron Man have also featured in the online multiplayer title.
Fortnite crossovers
Being a live-service title, Fortnite churns out fresh content fairly often to keep the players coming back and the engagement numbers up. This consistent stream of updates can include anything from a single pack in the Item Shop to a series of in-game events lasting for the entire month. For keeping this going, Epic Games partners with other major IP holders and introduces new crossovers every now and then.
Among such partnerships, there are certain ones that have been received by Fortnite’s fanbase with open arms and have earned very positive feedback. In the following list, we have put together ten of the best collabs in Fortnite history, based on their popularity and the quality of in-game items and events they brought into the picture.
Top 10 collabs in Fortnite history
From Marvel heroes to anime icons, these are the Fortnite collaborations that had the biggest impact on the game and its community.
1. Marvel
Fortnite and Marvel have come together multiple times in the past. Most notably, their late 2020 collab for Chapter 2 Season 4, titled “Nexus War”, offered a full season of Marvel-themed content. That season was not just about cosmetics but also featured a full-blown story arc with supervillain Galactus at its center, as the main antagonist.
As a result of the frequent tie-ups between these two, in-game content inspired by both old and new MCU projects, such as the white Black Widow outfit from the namesake 2021 film and Fantastic Four skins from 2025’s Fantastic Four: The First Steps, have been released in the game. This long-term collab is arguably the best Fortnite has ever done with another big brand.
2. Star Wars
Similar to Marvel, Star Wars has also regularly crossed over to Fortnite over the years. This partnership has covered the length and breadth of the sci-fi IP’s lore, capturing the themes of its different eras. The latest collab, which kicked off in May 2026, revolves around the Clone Wars era and brings character skins and other cosmetics bearing resemblance to the 2008 animated series titled “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”.
While the newest crossover brought cartoon-style skins of characters such as Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano into the fold, there have been several other in-game Star Wars items in Fortnite before. Pivotal characters, including Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia, have all made their appearances in the online multiplayer game.
3. Naruto
When Naruto Shippuden hit Fortnite in November 2021 (Chapter 2 Season 8), it became one of the first major anime IPs to roll out in the game. Alongside a lot of fanfare, the crossover brought various themed skins, featuring Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, and more. Besides character skins, the collab also added other themed items, such as the Paper Bomb Kunai mythic weapon. A second wave of the collab came out in June 2022, roping in even more characters, including Itachi and Hinata.
4. Travis Scott
Fortnite’s collab with Travis Scott for an in-game concert in April 2020 (Chapter 2 Season 2) remains one of the most defining moments in the Epic-developed title’s history. The Astronomical concert drew in as many as 12.3 million concurrent players in a record-breaking event. While this number was later breached by 2024’s Remix: The Finale concert in Fortnite, in which multiple musicians such as Eminem and Snoop Dogg starred, the Travis Scott collab still remains the biggest draw by a single performer.
5. Dragon Ball
From 2022 to 2024, Dragon Ball collaborated heavily with Fortnite. It first started with Chapter 3 Season 3, in which a string of highly well-received content including weapons, map areas, and cosmetics were introduced. Among the characters added were Son Goku and Vegeta alongside their Super Saiyan forms, and among the mythic abilities introduced was the popular Kamehameha attack. Later crossovers brought Piccolo, Gohan, Frieza, and more into the mix.
6. Batman (DC Comics)
Epic Games and DC Comics did a major team-up in 2021 (Chapter 2 Season 6 & 7), where a flurry of Fortnite items and a series of tie-in Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point comics were respectively rolled out by the two parties. Rewards inspired by the Batman IP, such as Rebirth Harley Quinn outfit and Batman Zero Wing glider, were redeemable through a code available with the tie-in comics. This wasn’t the first Batman crossover in Fortnite as that actually took place in September 2019 (Chapter 1 Season X), but it was arguably the most significant one.
Another tie-in comic, Batman/Fortnite: Foundation, later that year provided players The Batman Who Laughs skin as reward. Crossovers through 2024 and 2025 brought onboard more unique looks for the Caped Crusader, including the Ninja Knight Batman and Batman Beyond skins.
7. John Wick
John Wick’s arrival in the game was among the earliest collabs with a film franchise for Fortnite. This crossover happened in May 2019 (Chapter 1 Season 9) and coincided with the theatrical release of John Wick: Chapter 3—Parabellum. It proved to be immensely popular, thanks to remarkable in-game additions such as the Mr Wick skin and the limited-time mode named Wick’s Bounty. In particular, this highly competitive LTM, which required squads to go up against each other for collecting most gold tokens, was a major highlight of the collab.
8. Ariana Grande
Post the success of Post Malone and Travis Scott in-game concerts, Ariana Grande joined the lineup with the Rift Tour concert in Fortnite. The event happened in August 2021 (Chapter 2 Season 7) and was hailed by fans for its interactive sequences and immersive worlds, which included soaring across the skies in a bubble and circling around a gigantic version of the American singer. Ariana’s character skin and related cosmetics also became available as part of this collaboration.
9. LEGO
The collaboration with LEGO is something that has quickly taken a life of its own since its introduction. Unlike other partnerships that lasted for a phase, this one spawned a whole new survival game mode, simply titled LEGO Fortnite, in December 2023. Thanks to the LEGO blocks-influenced mode, this update broadened the game’s audience to include other gamers, such as Minecraft regulars, who are into mining materials and crafting resources.
Over time, three different modes within the LEGO Fortnite experience have been released. These are Odyssey (original survival mode), Brick Life, and Expeditions. From the modes that were added later, Brick Life offers life-simulation gameplay, whereas Expeditions provides something for fans of RPG titles.
10. Power Rangers
This iconic Japanese IP finally landed in Epic’s online title in August 2025 (Chapter 6 Season 4), as the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers entered the fray. Key cosmetics, such as outfits for the Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink, and Black Rangers were made available. On top of that, the mecha called Dino Megazord and mythic weapons such as Triple Quad-Barrel Minigun were also there, along with themed events.
More recently, in February 2026 (Chapter 7 Season 1), items inspired by Power Rangers Dino Thunder were brought to Fortnite as well. This was a smaller set consisting of cosmetics exclusively, which only included skins for Black Dino Ranger and White Dino Ranger.
Future Fortnite collabs
In the coming years, going by the trends, it seems fair to expect Fortnite to continue with its long-term partnerships with certain top franchises, including Marvel and Star Wars. However, before that, the most important collaboration in 2026 might be the Epic Games-Disney team-up valued at $1.5 billion. This much-awaited collaborative effort will produce works that coexist with Fortnite and could very well result in a new experience similar to the likes of LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival Main Stage.
According to a Bloomberg report, the first game to come out of Epic’s Disney ties will be an extraction shooter, like Arc Raiders, with Disney characters. It is rumored to be launched in November 2026, with at least two more partnered games expected to follow. If successful, this could mean Fortnite will have another major collaborator to work with in the long run.
