Apple has introduced the iPhone Pocket, a limited edition 3D-knitted accessory made with Issey Miyake’s design team. It’s a stylish, flexible pocket for your iPhone that comes in multiple colors and strap options.
Apple has introduced a new limited edition accessory for the iPhone called the iPhone Pocket, marking one of the few times the company has described a product as a limited release.
Designed in collaboration with the Issey Miyake design studio, known for crafting Steve Jobs’ famous black turtleneck, the iPhone Pocket reimagines the charm of the 2004 iPod Socks in a modern, fashion-forward form. The accessory uses a single 3D-knitted stretchable cloth to create a sleek, wearable pocket that can hold an iPhone along with other small items.
The iPhone Pocket can be worn in multiple ways, such as over the shoulder, around the wrist, or attached to a handbag. The fabric stretches enough to let users peek at the iPhone’s screen without fully removing it.
Apple is offering the iPhone Pocket in two versions:
This launch appears to be the first limited edition accessory ever sold directly through Apple’s retail stores. In the past, Apple has offered seasonal or brand collaborations such as Hermès Apple Watch bands, but these were never marketed as limited-time releases.
The iPhone Pocket will be available this Friday in select regions, including the US, UK, France, China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea. It will also be displayed in a small number of Apple Stores.
With the iPhone Pocket, Apple is once again merging fashion and technology, offering a collectible piece that reflects both style and innovation.
