The Fortnite x Obsession collab has finally dropped and, as a result, the One Wish Willow Sprite has become the latest addition to the sprites lineup. This inclusion puts to bed long-running speculations about when this particular crossover with the hit 2025 film, which was first teased back on July 20, would arrive.
One Wish Willow Sprite and Honey Sprite, which rolled out today as well, take the multiplayer game’s unique sprite count to 27. If we count the variants as well, the total number of these critters shoots to a whopping 157, giving the players who are into sprite-hunting some reasonable amount of work to indulge in.
For a quick head start, you can check out the ability and upgrade boosts of the One Wish Willow Sprite in Fortnite. Plus, a few different ways using which you can make the process of catching this sprite seamless are also given below.

What the One Wish Willow Sprite does in Fortnite
Similar to any sprite, One Wish Willow Sprite does have its own unique ability, which is to automatically extract the sprites equipped by the player you eliminate in a match. However, unlike other sprites, it also has a secondary ability and another distinct trait that takes inspiration from Obsession’s female lead character Nikki.
While One Wish Willow Sprite’s secondary ability involves pushing everything away when taking damage, its Nikki-esque behavior is basically getting ‘upset’ when unequipped and consequently marking you on the opponents’ map as a punishment for the same. Owing to the latter behavior, it’s the first Fortnite sprite of its kind to not only give the player an advantage but also a disadvantage, depending on whether or not you choose to switch sprites.
Additionally, One Wish Willow Sprite is a Mythic sprite, and it comes in all sprite variants except the Quack variant.
Ways to claim the One Wish Willow Sprite in Fortnite
Activating cheat codes
Given that One Wish Willow Sprite is a Mythic-tier item, it’s best to only target the golden Legendary Cheat Codes and the pink Epic Cheat Codes for eventually extracting this one. You can either use a Cheat Code Locator gizmo to mark a nearby cheat code during a match or simply search locations that have a dense population of these sprite-spawning panels.
Among the best places to look for cheat codes are Heatwave Harbor, Cluster Coast, Shaken Sanctuary, and Sunken Shores. Moreover, if you are looking to stock up on Cheat Code Locators before your visit, you may want to give certain Fortnite Lobby Hacks a try, as some of them provide gizmos of that kind for free.
Locating Pumpkin Chests
Since the introduction of Pumpkin Chests, they have become one of the main ways to obtain sprites in Fortnite Override, arguably only behind Cheat Codes. These Halloween-inspired chests that were rolled out for Fortnitemares 2026 exclusively grant sprites that are related to the horror theme of this ongoing event.
While Pumpkin Chests are not as prevalent in Fortnite Battle Royale as the standard chests are, certain locations that house multiple of these chests do exist. These locations include Nightmare Neighborhood, Freaky Fields, Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, and Stone Sanctum. Since they aren’t as commonly available, expect competing players to be there when you approach one of these Pumpkin Chest locations.
Hunting for Rare Chests
After Fortnite Runners, Rare Chests have stopped being a likely source of sprites. However, they still have some chance of offering you one, especially if you have the corresponding loot hack unlocked.
For boosting your chances, you can upgrade the Sprite Loot Hack all the way to its maximum spawn rate. On top of that, you can equip a Loot Hacker variant sprite when opening chests, as it increases the chances of one of your loot hack unlocks triggering.
Once you’ve got the aforementioned figured out and are ready to go, you may scour Fortnite map locations with the highest number of Rare Chests. Some of these highly contested areas are Nightmare Neighborhood, Stone Sanctum, the three Pac-Man islands, and the maze to the southeast of Stone Sanctum. Since all the mentioned places are usually swarming with players, it’s best to start chest-hunting only after you have picked up fairly powerful weapons and enough consumables.
Indexing with the help of a friend
As is obvious, an efficient way of adding a new sprite such as the One Wish Willow Sprite into your collection is by temporarily borrowing it from another player. You can find like-minded Fortnite users on the game’s official Discord.
This method requires you and your friend to join two matches together. The first one will involve the other player dropping the sprite for you to pick up and extract. On the other hand, the second match will involve you returning the sprite.
After that, you can go to the Override tab and, from the Sprites section, recall the One Wish Willow Sprite by spending some Sprite Dust. In case you don’t have enough of that, refer to the previously mentioned Lobby Hacks to get some for free.
Wrapping up
One Wish Willow Sprite is certainly an innovation in this particular gameplay aspect of Fortnite. Prior to this, we had never encountered a critter like this that provides a buff but also a sort of de-buff when you decide to ditch it.
That particular element of this Obsession-inspired sprite thoroughly captures the essence of the Inde Navarrette-starrer feature film. Now, it’s only a matter of how many players think that’s enough to make this sprite a popular choice among them.
