Five Nights At Freddy’s (FNAF) is arriving in Fortnite in an influential way, with a wide range of skins, related cosmetics, and gameplay updates in the pipeline for October 1. It is the first major IP collaboration confirmed by Epic’s highly popular multiplayer game for their forthcoming Halloween event titled ‘Fortnitemares’.
Over the past few weeks, rumors and speculation surrounding an imminent Fortnite x FNAF collab had been running strong in the community. This was finally confirmed when the game’s official social channels teased such a partnership.
Since then, several leaks have followed and given Fortnite players a good look at what to expect. The following article lists all such confirmed and leaked FNAF-inspired content that has surfaced so far.
Fortnite x FNAF crossover skins
One recent teaser video posted by Fortnite showed Five Nights at Freddy’s antagonists, namely Freddy Fazbear, Chica the Chicken, Bonnie the Bunny, and Foxy the Pirate Fox, in action. Notably, these characters were also depicted in the clip from the player character’s camera view, which strongly suggested their inclusion as character skins.
It’s worth mentioning that Freddy, Chica, and Bonnie are also seen stalking and chasing the player, which might point at a few of these characters being available as an in-game boss. However, this interpretation is highly speculative.
Other leaked FNAF cosmetics coming to Fortnite
As noted by popular leaker HYPEX, a combination of Fortnite cosmetic items themed around certain FNAF characters are on their way to Fortnite. These respective sets of in-game extras are as follows:
- Freddy: Back bling and kicks
- Chica: Back bling
- Bonnie: Back bling
In addition to these, new FNAF-oriented emotes and musical instruments were leaked as part of the collab by the source. The music playing during the aforementioned video was also identified as Five Nights at Freddy’s 1 Song by The Living Tombstone. What this could hint at is the song being rolled into the game as a jam track.
FNAF location arriving in Fortnite map
Among the other confirmed inclusions in Fortnite are Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, a clear nod to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, which is the main setting for the Five Nights at Freddy’s game. It is yet to be known where exactly on the Fortnite map this location might appear once the Fortnitemares update kicks in.

The Fortnite x FNAF collab is already attracting a lot of attention, even before its release, with the X post announcing the same quickly becoming one of the most liked posts by the game’s official channel. But that isn’t the only franchise coming to Fortnite this October.
With the Fortnitemares event now excitingly close, Fortnite has unveiled several more franchises that will appear in the game during this period. Besides Five Nights at Freddy’s, the IPs and recognizable names prominently featured in the forthcoming event are A Nightmare on Elm Street, Beetlejuice, Slender Man, Obsession, The Purge, and Black Clover. It will be interesting to see the kind of cosmetic items that these other brands inspire in the game.
