Appleโs March 4 Apple Experience could bring the iPhone 17e, a budget MacBook, and new iPads, with announcements expected throughout the week.
Apple has invited select journalists and creators to attend a “special Apple Experience” scheduled for March 4 in New York, London, and Shanghai. While the company has not confirmed what will be unveiled, new reports suggest Apple may roll out announcements gradually throughout the week rather than hosting a traditional livestream event.
According to Daring Fireballโs John Gruber, Apple may introduce new products through a series of Newsroom press releases published daily from Monday, March 2, through Wednesday, March 4. The March 4 gathering would serve as a hands-on media experience rather than a keynote.
Bloombergโs Mark Gurman supported this theory, saying the staggered announcement schedule aligns with information he has heard from sources familiar with Appleโs plans. Gurman also indicated that Apple is unlikely to host a conventional livestreamed event, though short promotional videos could accompany each product reveal online.
Apple has used this rollout strategy before. Similar multi-day announcement cycles occurred in March 2019 and again in October 2024, when the company introduced multiple Macs through consecutive press releases.
Several Apple devices are rumored to be nearing launch, though not all are expected to launch in the same week.
Apple is reportedly developing a more affordable MacBook powered by an A18 Pro chip. The device may feature a 12.9-inch display and launch in multiple color options.
The next-generation budget iPhone 17e could include an A19 chip, MagSafe support, and updated Apple wireless chips. Current rumors suggest Apple will keep the notch design, with pricing starting around $599 in the U.S.
A routine refresh is expected, upgrading from the M3 chip to the M4 processor for improved performance and efficiency.
Apple may update the standard iPad with a jump from the A16 chip to either an A18 or A19 chip.
The MacBook Air lineup is rumored to transition from M4 to M5 chips, focusing on performance gains rather than a major redesign.
Updated models could feature M5 Pro and M5 Max chips alongside PCIe 5.0 support, enabling faster SSD speeds.
A performance refresh may bring M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips, targeting professional workflows and high-end computing tasks.
A new version is rumored to include mini-LED backlighting, HDR support, and a refresh rate up to 120Hz, powered by an A19-series chip.
Appleโs smart home hub is expected to feature a 6 to 7-inch display, Apple Intelligence support, FaceTime integration, and a redesigned Siri experience.
An Apple-designed HomeKit security camera could launch alongside the Home Hub as part of a broader smart home push.
Despite the lengthy list of rumored products, analysts expect only a small subset to launch during the first week of March. The most likely candidates currently include:
Rumors surrounding updated Apple TV and HomePod mini models continue to circulate, though recent reports suggest they may not be ready yet.
The โApple Experienceโ invite features a colorful Apple logo composed of yellow, green, and blue discs. Gurman previously reported that Apple was testing similar color options, including pink, for the rumored budget MacBook, suggesting the device could play a central role in the event.
With media attending hands-on sessions on March 4, Apple appears to be prioritizing in-person demonstrations while shifting announcements to a press-release format.
More details are likely to emerge as the first week of March approaches.
