Apple Q4 2025 Earnings Breakdown: iPhone and Services Drive Record Revenue

Apple ends fiscal 2025 on a high note with $102.5B in Q4 revenue, fueled by soaring iPhone 17 sales and record-breaking Services growth.

Apple concluded its fiscal Q4 2025 with a bang, posting unprecedented figures. The company’s latest earnings report reveals an impressive $102.5 billion in revenue, reflecting an 8% increase from last year, as several product lines achieved new milestones.

iPhone Revenue Hits $49 Billion on Strong 17-Series Demand

Once again, iPhone sales dominated Apple’s earnings, generating $49.02 billion and marking a 6% rise from the previous year. CEO Tim Cook attributed this success to the iPhone 17 series, highlighting the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, which debuted earlier than usual in September. The blend of high-end options and quicker upgrade cycles attracted significant consumer interest leading up to the holidays.

Cook also pointed to the iPhone Air, a fresh addition that offers premium Pro features at a lower cost, which found favor in overseas markets. Despite encountering supply issues for specific models, the iPhone segment achieved record-setting results for the quarter.

Services Revenue Sets All-Time Record at $28.8 Billion

Apple’s Services arm, including revenue from iCloud, Apple Music, and the App Store, reached an unprecedented $28.75 billion, a 15% year-on-year growth. This increase is credited to a rising base of active devices and a boost in paid subscriptions.

Now Apple’s second-largest business area, Services significantly contributes to maintaining high profit margins and steady revenue, especially amidst hardware sales’ ups and downs. Its consistent income flow lifted Apple’s gross margin to a record 47.2% for the September quarter.

Wearables, Home, and Accessories See Stable Growth

The Wearables, Home, and Accessories division reported $9.01 billion in revenue, nearly mirroring the prior year’s results. Apple noted that launches like AirPods Pro 3 and the new Apple Watch series kept this category firm despite market saturation. The timing of these product releases accompanying iPhone introductions helped boost consumer interest and sales as the holiday season approached.

Mac Revenue Rises 13% With New M5 Systems

Apple’s Mac segment saw a boost, earning $8.73 billion, a 13% rise compared to the previous year. This growth is fueled by the new MacBook Pro models featuring the M5 chip, rolled out just ahead of the back-to-school rush. The improved performance and battery life of M5 systems have enticed professional users, helping Apple regain traction in this segment.

iPad Revenue Holds Steady With Pro Models

iPad revenue remained steady at $6.95 billion this quarter, showing little change from last year. Apple highlighted that the updated iPad Pro with M5 played a crucial role in sustaining demand, especially among creative professionals and enterprise clients. The iPad segment remains stable, even as Apple gears up for more extensive updates to the lineup.

Record Year and Strong Outlook Ahead

With fiscal 2025 coming to a close, Apple has reported $416.2 billion in total revenue and $112 billion in net income, both all-time highs for the company. Operating cash flow was listed at $29.7 billion, with $24 billion returned to shareholders via buybacks and dividends.

Although faced with challenges such as increased R&D expenditures and economic slowdowns in China, Apple reported record sales in emerging markets like India, where it saw new performance peaks.

As the holiday quarter kicks off, Apple claims to have its most comprehensive product lineup yet, covering the iPhone 17 series as well as the latest in Mac, iPad, and accessory offerings. While no formal guidance for December was provided, the focus remains on ensuring product availability and maintaining customer satisfaction.
