Massive Apple Leak Reveals 15 New Macs Coming by 2026

Apple Reportedly Developing 15 New Macs, Including a Budget MacBook

Imagine knowing exactly what Macs Apple is working on—not just for this year, but all the way into late 2026. Thanks to a massive leak involving internal Apple device identifiers and insider sources, we now have a surprisingly clear look at Apple’s Mac roadmap. Whether you’re a casual user, a pro-level creator, or someone just curious about future tech, there’s a lot to unpack here.

Let’s break it all down in simple, clear terms—model by model, chip by chip, and year by year.

Big Picture: What’s Coming and When?

These leaks come from AppleInsider’s exclusive report, revealing 15 new Mac models Apple is secretly developing through identifiers. These ‘identifiers’ are internal codenames Apple uses to label each device during testing and development, similar to nicknames.

  • Upgraded MacBook Pros with M5 and later M6 chips
  • A refreshed MacBook Air
  • New versions of the Mac Studio and Mac Pro
  • A mysterious new low-cost MacBook that may use an iPhone chip

All of these are expected to launch between late 2025 and end of 2026.

M5 Macs Arriving Late 2025

Apple usually refreshes the MacBook Pro each fall, and 2025 will be no different. The upcoming 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros will look similar to the current models—but pack new M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max chips.

MacBook Pro (14-inch and 16-inch) will get M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max variants. Don’t expect design changes – it’s mostly a performance upgrade. The models leaked are:

  • J714c: 14-inch MacBook Pro (M5 Max)
  • J714s: 14-inch MacBook Pro (M5 Pro)
  • J716c: 16-inch MacBook Pro (M5 Max)
  • J716s: 16-inch MacBook Pro (M5 Pro)

These will use TSMC’s new 2.5D chip packaging, which separates CPU and GPU dies for better cooling and performance. Gamers or heavy users might see real benefits here.

MacBook Air to Get M5 in Early 2026

After the MacBook Pro refresh, MacBook Air models will get M5 in early 2026, with two sizes as usual:

  • J813: 15-inch MacBook Air (M5)
  • J815: 13-inch MacBook Air (M5)

No major design changes are expected – just better performance and battery life. May include minor upgrades like camera or speakers.

Mac Pro and Mac Studio Upgrades

Apple hasn’t forgotten its desktops:

  • Mac Pro (identifier J704) is in testing. Whether it uses M3 Ultra, M5 Ultra, or something else isn’t clear, but it will be a major upgrade over the current two-year-old model.
  • Mac Studio has two new configurations coming, J775c and J775d. Expect them in 2026 with powerful M-series chips beyond the current M4 Max and M3 Ultra.
  • Mac Mini will also get an M5 Pro upgrade with identifier J873s. No signs yet of a base M5 Mac Mini, but Apple usually updates both.
  • iMac could get the M5 too, under identifier J833ct. Probably the same 24-inch size. Expect a spec bump, not a redesign.

M6 MacBook Pro Redesign Coming Late 2026

Here’s the big news. In late 2026, Apple plans to redesign the MacBook Pro with M6 chips. Expect them to be thinner, lighter, and finally use OLED displays, like iPhones and iPads.

  • K114c: 14-inch MacBook Pro (M6 Max)
  • K114s: 14-inch MacBook Pro (M6 Pro)
  • K116c: 16-inch MacBook Pro (M6 Max)
  • K116s: 16-inch MacBook Pro (M6 Pro)

Rumors also suggest these could include built-in cellular modems, so your MacBook could connect to mobile data directly without tethering to your iPhone.

A Mysterious A18 Pro MacBook?

Finally, there are two unknown devices:

  • J700 could be a low-cost MacBook with an A18 Pro chip (an iPhone chip). This might bring back the base MacBook at an affordable price.
  • J804 is another mystery device. It might be a future Mac Pro or a lower-end MacBook Pro variant. Not enough data on this yet

Summary: What to Expect (2025–2026)

The Bottom Line

These leaks confirm Apple’s Mac roadmap is packed till end of 2026. While the 2025 brings performance upgrades across the board with the M5 generation, 2026 is where things really take off—with redesigns, OLED screens, and maybe even a totally new budget MacBook for everyone.

If you’re planning to buy a Mac soon, now you can decide whether to wait or upgrade now based on your needs. One thing’s for sure—Apple’s not slowing down.
