Apple has rolled out the third developer beta of iOS 18.4. This update comes with build number 22E5222f. It was released a week after Apple rolled out the second developer beta of iOS 18.4. Apple is also seeding the third developer beta updates for iPadOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, watchOS 11.4, tvOS 18.4, and visionOS 2.4 alongside the iOS 18.4 beta 3.

If you’re enrolled in the developer program, you can update your iPhone to iOS 18.4 beta 3 by heading to Settings → General → Software Update.
Unlike previous beta versions of iOS 18.4, the third beta doesn’t come with many new features. The “Subscriptions & Payments” option in the dropdown menu of the wallet app has been replaced with the “Preauthorized Payments” option.

There’s a new Show Banner toggle that allows users to disable the Back Tap banner. This banner was introduced with the first beta of iOS 18.4 and there was no way to disable it until this update. Now you can head to Settings > Accesibility > Touch > Back Tap > Show Banner. These are the two new features introduced with iOS 18.4 beta 3.
With iOS 18.4, Apple is introducing several new features on the iPhone. The first developer beta build of iOS 18.4 introduced Apple Intelligence features like Priority Notifications, Sketch Style in Image Playground, and expanded Apple Intelligence support to more languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese, along with localized English for Singapore and India.
Additionally, Apple News+ subscribers can now access a Food section in the app, featuring numerous recipes, healthy eating tips, and more from top publishers in the industry. The update also added a few Ambient Music toggles to the Control Center, along with new Podcast widgets.
The second developer beta of iOS 18.4 added support for Visual Intelligence on the iPhone 15 Pro series via the Action Button. It also introduced a new set of emojis, made some changes to Priority Notifications, added Apple Intelligence toggles in the Control Center, new Shortcut Actions, and the ability to pause downloads in the App Store. Moreover, Apple also added a dedicated Vision Pro.
Apart from the aforementioned features, Apple has introduced several other changes in the iOS 18.4 beta updates. These features are currently being refined and are likely to make their way into the final public build of iOS 18.4. Apple is expected to release iOS 18.4, along with iPadOS 18.4, in early April. Although delays are still possible.
