How to Send or Receive Money Using Facebook Messenger on iPhone

Online money transfer service PayPal now allows you to request, send and receive payments via Facebook Messenger. Currently, it’s available only in the US. So, if you are living in the United States and want to use peer-to-peer payments in Messenger on your iOS device (or Android), follow this quick guide.

Using PayPal, you could shop on Messenger and even communicate with other PayPal users. However, complete integration of PayPal for P2P exchanges in the messaging app is new and made the app even more user-friendly.

How to Send or Receive Money Using Facebook Messenger on iPhone

Note: Make sure you are using the latest version of Messenger. App Store → Updates → Messenger and update the app, if you haven’t done as yet.

Step #1. Launch Facebook Messenger on your iOS device.

Step #2. Now, you have to select the friend with you want to exchange money.

Step #3. Next, you need to tap on the blue plus sign icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.

Step #4. Next, tap on green Payments button.

Step #5. Now, you have to enter the amount as well as what it is for.

Step #6. Up next, you need to select either Request or Pay.

Then, select PayPal as the funding source.

Step #7. Finally, tap Confirm.

How to Use PayPal Bot in Facebook Messenger

You can also use PayPal chatbot to quickly your account information right from the within the app.

Step #1. Open Messenger on your iOS device.

Step #2. Next, you need to search for PayPal in the search bar. Once it appears, tap on it.

Step #3. Now, type in your queries and send it.

The bot will reply immediately.
