The Pirate Shop token in Fortnite is all the rage among players right now. As it turns out, the allure of getting almost everything from the Item Shop for free is something that has strongly captivated the imagination of the community. And that is also why fans grew excited when a ‘Treasure Hour’ event was announced by the game’s official channels.
A recent post by Fortnite suggests that the Pirate Shop Access—one of Fortnite’s treasure chest rewards—could be set to remain an extremely rare item even during the forthcoming Treasure Hour, much to the fans’ dismay. However, there are other parts of the game, including certain sprite types, that are set to receive boosts for that period. This should make some items relatively easier to obtain for fans.
What is Treasure Hour in Fortnite?
Treasure Hour is a forthcoming two-hour event in Fortnite during which players will have a better chance to find certain in-game items than usual. Among the things currently revealed to get a boost for the first-ever Treasure Hour day are Fortnite Sprite variants, which will basically spawn more often. In addition, each player would also be equipped with a Shock Rocket and a Self-revive from the very beginning of a match.
This event is planned to take place twice every Saturday throughout the Fortnite Treasure Hunters mini-season, with the first iteration kicking off on November 7, from 2 PM to 4 PM ET and then again from 9 PM to 11 PM ET. Interestingly, Treasure Hour is positioned in the week such that it is followed by Captain’s Day on Sunday at 9 AM ET. This particular day will see a new character taking over a POI, a new SMG being introduced, among other things.

Why you should join the Treasure Hour in Fortnite
As of now, the inaugural Treasure Hour is confirmed to feature a boosted spawn rate for the Fortune variant of sprites, which is notably the only variant in Treasure Hunters (besides the base variant, obviously) right now. As such, it’s clear that those still missing out on this particular version of any of the various sprites available in the game have a great opportunity to fill in the gaps in time.
In successive Treasure Hour days, it is nearly certain that the event will focus on different sprites and their variants. Hence, in particular, if you are a completionist, you should regularly jump into Fortnite during events like this one, as they are generally an efficient way to get some of the highly sought-after items in the game.
