Fortnite Treasure Hunters has introduced a valuable new item called Pirate Shop Access, aka the Pirate Shop token. This extremely rare collectible, upon activation, grants the player access to the Pirate Shop, which is basically the Item Shop but with every item that would normally cost V-Bucks made completely free for a limited time.
Throughout this One Piece-themed mini-season, players have a chance of getting the Pirate Shop token from chests scattered throughout the Battle Royale map. That’s because it is one of the chest reward pool items currently active in Fortnite. However, given its rarity, very few players are publicly known to have found it so far.
Fortnite Pirate Shop token explained
Pirate Shop Access gives players a 14-day window to claim eligible items from the Item Shop. Items claimed during this period remain in your Locker after the access expires.
The reward has two activation windows: one for 2026 and another for 2027. The 2026 activation must be used by December 15, 2026, while the 2027 activation can be used between January 1 and December 15, 2027. Each activation lasts 14 days from the time you start it.
The reward does not cover real-money offers, gifting, or Battle Pass rewards. You can also claim only one Sidekick that you do not already own. Pirate Shop Access is tied to your Fortnite account and cannot be transferred.

- Back blings
- Pickaxes
- Gliders
- Emotes
- Sidekicks (only one purchase per sidekick)
- Jam tracks
- Wraps
- Instruments
- Kicks
- Loading screens
- Bundles
- Packs
- Trails
- Cars
The available items depend on what appears in the Item Shop during your access period.
Pirate Shop Access is a limited-time reward associated with the Treasure Hunters mini-season, which is expected to end on December 5, 2026. The token’s reported availability and activation deadlines are separate, so check the in-game message for the exact dates on your account.
How to find and use the Pirate Shop token in Fortnite
Since this particular reward has among the lowest drop rates in the game, you must focus on trimming down the odds. To do so, it’s best to enter Battle Royale modes as a squad because, even if any one player stumbles upon the Pirate Shop token, the rest of the squad also gets the resulting benefit.
On top of that, since this item is unlocked from opening chests, you can double down on your hunt for the same by ransacking through the usual hotspots. According to Fortnite.gg‘s data, depicted in the image below, the POIs where you are likely to find a high concentration of chests are Rubber Resort, Arlong Park, The $.$. Rocky, Lantern Landing, Loot Lagoon, and Fortune’s Fort.
While you scour the map for chests, don’t ignore the Wanted Posters or Vault Keys if you come across them. That’s because these two items lead you to high-tier chests, which also have a chance of providing Pirate Shop Access. While a Wanted Poster leads to one buried chest, Vault Keys lead to a locked room filled with around three to five special chests.
Upon nabbing the Pirate Shop token during a match, you will be prompted to claim the same as soon as it’s over. Once that’s out of the way, you can head straight to the Shop tab and activate the Pirate Shop Access by using the button shown in the bottom-right corner of your screen and then confirming your decision.
