Another Fortnite season is almost here, and it’s bringing a wave of fresh content with it. The Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 update, reportedly titled Runners, is scheduled to launch on June 6 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET. The new season is expected to introduce several crossover collaborations, brand-new skins, and additional themed content.
Ahead of the update’s release, Fortnite’s official social media accounts have started teasing some of the content players can expect in the coming days. These previews have already revealed several upcoming skins and collaborations planned for the new season.
One recent teaser showcasing the upcoming character lineup has generated major attention online.
Confirmed skins and collabs in Fortnite Runners
From new original characters to returning crossover icons, Fortnite Runners is shaping up to be one of the season’s biggest cosmetic updates yet.
1. Sprite mech skin
One of the most unusual skins teased so far appears to feature a Sprite controlling a mech suit.
For those unfamiliar, Sprites are gameplay elements introduced in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 back in December 2024. Players can find them across different areas of the map and deposit them at shrines to unlock special loot.
There are several Sprite variants in Fortnite, including Air Sprite, Water Sprite, Earth Sprite, Dash Sprite, and Superman Sprite. The mech-themed skin shown in the teaser appears to be based on the Dash Sprite variant.
2. Heatwave PJ
PJ, a skin originally introduced during Chapter 5 Season 1, is also returning with a redesigned appearance.
This updated version keeps the recognizable headphones but refreshes the overall outfit with what looks like a summer-inspired theme. The original Rare-tier outfit first arrived in February 2024 and was sold for 1,200 V-Bucks individually or as part of the PJ Bundle for 1,500 V-Bucks.
3. Vanguard Slone
Vanguard Slone appears to be a major redesign of Doctor Slone, a character first introduced in Chapter 2 Season 7 in June 2021.
The original version of Doctor Slone featured alternate styles ranging from nerd-inspired looks to flashy partywear. In contrast, the newly teased version adopts a far more tactical and combat-focused appearance.
4. Dylan
Dylan is another new character shown in Fortnite’s teaser image.
The character features platinum blonde hair, a fur-lined jacket, visible tattoos, and a rifle. One noticeable tattoo across the abdomen reads “QUEEN,” hinting at a bold personality and possible gang-related backstory.
Based on the teaser alone, Dylan already looks like one of the more distinct characters arriving in the new season.
5. Cluster
Cluster easily stands out as one of the strangest character designs shown in the lineup.
Positioned at the center of the promotional artwork, the character likely plays an important role in the season’s overall theme. Its bizarre design fits alongside Fortnite’s long history of quirky cosmetics like Fishstick and Peely.
6. John Wick collab
Fortnite has officially confirmed another collaboration with the John Wick franchise.
This time, however, the iconic assassin is receiving a stylized pen-and-ink redesign inspired by comic book artwork. While Fortnite previously added the original John Wick skin back in 2019, this version features a far more graphic and illustrated appearance.
The teaser also includes John Wick’s dog rendered in the same art style, possibly hinting at a new in-game companion or sidekick cosmetic.
7. The Voidblade
Another teased character appears to be a ninja-inspired fighter dressed in orange and black armor.
The character wears a blindfold and carries both a firearm and what appears to be a sheathed sword. With its sleek design and athletic appearance, this skin will likely appeal to players who prefer stealth-inspired cosmetics.
8. Wolfe
Standing on the far right side of the teaser image is Wolfe, an intimidating armored gunman.
The character wears a wolf-themed mask with glowing eyes and features a heavily armored left arm that somewhat resembles Marvel’s Winter Soldier aesthetic. Wolfe is expected to become a popular choice among players who prefer darker and more aggressive-looking skins.
9. TheBurntPeanut collab
The teaser also confirmed a collaboration with streamer TheBurntPeanut.
A small character seated between the duck-like figure and John Wick’s dog appears to be directly inspired by the internet personality and may arrive as a sidekick cosmetic.
However, the collaboration has already sparked mixed reactions online. Some players criticized Epic Games over allegations involving homophobic slurs reportedly used by the streamer during a past broadcast.
It remains unclear whether Epic Games will publicly respond to the controversy.
More Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 leaks and details
Based on several cryptic posts shared by Fortnite’s official social media accounts, more Sprite-themed cosmetics appear to be on the way.
Some teased Sprites seem to feature punk-inspired aesthetics, while another appears to wear a skull mask and crown.
Additional leaks shared by Fortnite insider Shiina also suggest multiple mech-themed Sprite skins are coming in the update. One leaked design appears heavily inspired by traditional Samurai armor and helmets.
With only a few days remaining before launch, excitement around Fortnite Runners continues to grow rapidly.
Before Season 3 officially begins, however, Fortnite players still have one final live event left in Chapter 7 Season 2. The season-ending event is scheduled for June 5 at 3:20 PM PT / 6:20 PM ET and will feature Team Foundation facing off against Team Ice King one last time.
Players following this season’s ongoing storyline likely won’t want to miss the finale.
