How to Send WhatsApp Messages Without Saving Numbers (iPhone, Android & Web)

Method 2: Use WhatsApp’s Official Click-to-Chat

WhatsApp’s Click-to-Chat feature is a reliable and official way to message unsaved numbers. Here’s how it works: 

1. Open a browser on your device. 
2. Enter the URL https://wa.me/[phonenumber] In the address bar, replace [phonenumber] with the full number, including the country code (e.g., https://wa.me/+12025550123 for a U.S. number).  
3. Press Enter, and a WhatsApp chat window will open for that number. 
4. Tap Open on the prompt and start typing your message. 
   

Note

Always provide the country code without spaces, dashes, or parentheses (e.g., +12025550123, and not +1-202-555-0123). 

Method 3: Send a WhatsApp Message to an Unsaved Number on iPhone

iPhone users have two effective methods to message unsaved numbers: 

Using Safari + wa.me Link:

1. Open Safari and type https://wa.me/phonenumber.
2. Tap Go, and WhatsApp will open with a chat window for the number.
3. Send your message.

Using Shortcuts App: 

1. Download and add this WhatsApp Unsaved Number shortcut.
2. Go to Shortcuts App.
3. Tap on the WhatsApp Unsaved Number shortcut.
4. Enter the country code and contact number. You don’t have to include the symbol of the country code.
5. Now, you will be taken to the chat without saving the number.

Method 4: Send a WhatsApp Message to an Unsaved Number on Android

Android users can also use the wa.me link or third-party apps:

Using Chrome + wa.me Link: 

1. Open Chrome and enter https://wa.me/phonenumber. 
2. Hit Enter, and WhatsApp will launch with the chat window. 
3. Send your message.

Using Third-Party Apps (with Caution) 

There are apps, like Click to Chat, Easy Message, etc., that provide a front-end for generating wa.me links without manual typing. 

Here’s how to use the Click to Chat app:

2. Enter the country code in the Prefix section and then the number. 
3. Tap Open to launch the chat. 

That’s all! You can quickly send a WhatsApp message without saving the number with a tap. 

However, I recommend using WhatsApp’s official steps for security. 

Method 5: Use WhatsApp Business App 

The WhatsApp Business app is appropriate for those who send numerous messages to unknown numbers. It also comes with other settings like Quick Replies and Labels to organize conversations. To utilize it: 

1. Download WhatsApp Business from the App Store or Google Play. 
2. Press the plus button and enter a number manually. 
3. Now, send the message you want. 

Method 6: Use Third-Party Tools (Extra Options)

There are some third-party apps on iOS, Android, and the web that facilitate easy messaging of unsaved numbers.

On iPhone and iPad, you can use Direct Message: Click to Chat, Direct Message for WhatsApp, etc., apps. They provide a simple interface to input a number and initiate a WhatsApp conversation without saving it. 

Also, the popular caller ID application Truecaller has a WhatsApp integration. If you search for a number, you will see their Caller ID. If the number has been registered on WhatsApp, you’ll have an option. Tap Open in WhatsApp to start a conversation.
