Measure app on iPhone has charmed me no end. Though I won’t say as yet that it may ultimately replace measuring tape, I would definitely say that it can get your work done to a great extent. Measuring real-world objects using the Measure app is a breeze. Even better, the app itself offers you suggestions to get things right. All you have to do is just follow them.

How to Take Measurement Using Measure App on iPhone
Step #1. Launch Measure app on your device.
Step #2. Now, check out the on-screen instructions to move your iPhone around. Make sure to follow them.
Note: When you try to locate the point from which you want to measure, you will get suggestions about a place with a larger white dot. Moreover, it will also alert you with haptic feedback.
Step #3. A white circle with the white dot inside will appear on the screen. You need to point it to where you like to measure. Now, tap the + button to create a point.
Note: Check out the option to undo an action. Simply tap on the 
arrow at the top left to go back to the previous action.
Step #5. Next, you have to move your device towards the direction where you want to end measurement. The measurement value will show up as you move the device or the dot. In the end, tap on the “+” button again to finish the measurement of the line.
Once you have got the measurement, you can tap on it to view the result in feet, inches, and even centimeters. Want to share it with your friend? Just copy it and share it via iMessage and other apps.
Tip: If the item is a rectangle, a yellow box will show up on it. You can just tap on it to get the dimensions.
Capture the Photo of your measurement: After you have finished your measurements, you will be able to capture the results instantly. To do so, you need to tap on the shutter button at the bottom right corner.
Delete Your Measurement
Once you have got the measurement, you can delete it. To erase the result, all you need to do is just tap Clear at the top right corner of the screen.
How to Use Level Tool in Measure App
The level tool now no longer exists in the Compass app. To tell you the truth, it has become an integral part of the Measure app. And I think it’s got a better place considering it’s very helpful for measurements.
Step #1. Open Measure app on your iOS device.
Step #2. Now, tap on the Level tab at the bottom.
Step #3. Next, your device will let you know whether you are using it vertically, horizontally, holding it upright or placed on a flat surface. When your iPhone is straight, it will show zero degrees and the screen will turn green.

I have found Measure app right on the money when it comes to getting the work done. Of course, it may not be your first choice in getting the accurate result as yet and but I’m sure it can fill up the void to a large extent especially when you don’t have measurement tape.
