The Knight, the protagonist of the highly rated 2017 game called Hollow Knight, has arrived in Fortnite as a sidekick. Along with it, a few additional cosmetics themed around the side-scrolling indie sensation have also joined the Item Shop.
Over the years, the Hollow Knight IP’s status has shot up exponentially. After the original game blew up, the sequel that followed in 2025 achieved record-breaking success as well. Thanks to such strong appeal, it has now become the latest third-party collaborator in Fortnite.
The Hollow Knight promo is scheduled to run in the Shop until October 14, 5 PM PT or 8 PM ET, so make sure to follow the steps given below before that window closes.
Steps to claim the Hollow Knight sidekick in Fortnite
- In Fortnite, go to the Shop tab.
- Then, scroll down to the “Hollow Knight” section and select the sidekick item.
- Finally, press and hold the Purchase button to complete the process.
The Knight sidekick is also available as part of the Hollow Knight Bundle, which includes all the items inspired by the metroidvania hit. This package deal comes in at the discounted price of 2,000 V-Bucks (700 V-Bucks cheaper than otherwise).

Although the Fortnite x Hollow Knight collab content is far from prolific, a section of fans would still appreciate this crossover, given the sheer popularity of the latter franchise. Notably, The Knight is also the sixth video game character to land as a sidekick during Chapter 7 Season 4.
Wrapping up
The Fortnite Override season is turning out to be a blessing for video game enthusiasts, as it continues to bring together some of the biggest game franchises to Epic’s online multiplayer title. Not just indie darlings like Hollow Knight, but AAA heavyweights such as Persona 5 and Kingdom Hearts have also appeared in the game thus far, courtesy of the ongoing season’s core theme.
Over the course of the month, it will be exciting to see which other video game collab items Fortnite brings as Chapter 7 Season 4 comes to an end. Based on the fact that Fortnitemares, the game’s Halloween-themed event, will essentially cover the remainder of the season, it seems fair to assume any future crossover content is going to feature horror game IPs.
