Apple has announced a special event for Wednesday, September 9, at 10:30 PM IST. The official Apple Events page calls it “Surprise and shine” and says the stream will be available on Apple.com and in the Apple TV app.

The invitation shows a glowing blue-and-pink Apple logo with a bright flare at its center. Apple has not explained the artwork, and it has not named a single product for the event.

The iPhone 18 Pro and foldable remain expected, not confirmed

The leading expectation is a smaller iPhone lineup than Apple usually brings to September. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reported that Apple plans to show the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its first foldable iPhone.

That lines up with identifiers found in iOS 27 beta code, which are believed to map to the two Pro models and a foldable for fall 2026. The foldable is reportedly called “iPhone Ultra” inside Apple, but its final name is still unknown.

In a separate report, Gurman said people who have used the foldable like its pocketable design, hinge, and larger-screen software. The reported early impressions add weight to the rumor, but Apple has confirmed none of the device’s design, cameras, price, or release details.

A standard iPhone 18 is not expected at this event. Apple is reportedly preparing to split the iPhone 18 generation into two launches, with the regular iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and iPhone Air 2 following in spring 2027.

Gurman’s expected event list also includes Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, a new Apple TV 4K, HomePod mini 2, and a possible preview of Apple’s long-rumored home hub. Apple could change that lineup, and its invitation confirms none of it.

How to watch Apple’s September event

The event starts at 10:30 PM IST on September 9. Apple will stream it on its Events website, through the Apple TV app, and on YouTube Live. The official calendar entry blocks out two hours, though the presentation may finish earlier.

Apple has locked the date, time, and stream. The foldable stays in the rumor column until it appears on stage.
