Suno has brought its AI song generator to iMessage, letting iPhone users turn a typed idea or voice prompt into a song without leaving a conversation.
The new extension sits inside Apple’s Messages app drawer. Open a chat, tap the + button, choose Suno, and enter what you want the song to be about. You can then pick a genre, generate the track, and send it in the conversation.
How Suno works in Messages
Suno’s demo shows the whole process taking place in the chat. If the first result does not fit, you can refresh it to try another version before sending the song.
The extension appears automatically after installing the main Suno app, much like other third-party iMessage apps. You can also rearrange or hide iMessage extensions if Suno is difficult to find in the drawer.
There is one catch: Suno says both people need the app installed to use the feature. That makes it better suited to group chats where everyone is willing to add the app, rather than a song you can send to any contact.
Availability
Suno is free to download with in-app purchases and requires iOS 18 or later. Its App Store page now lists support for both iPhone and iMessage.
This is Suno’s latest attempt to shorten the path from an idea to a generated track on iPhone. In June, the company also added sharing from Notes and Voice Memos, allowing lyrics or recordings to open directly in Suno’s creation screen.
