iPhone 17 Pro dummy leaks reveal five rumored colors: black, white, gray, dark blue, and a bold orange that may shift to copper. Apple is expected to unveil the final lineup on September 9.
With Apple’s fall event approaching fast, new iPhone 17 Pro leaks are ramping up, and a fresh batch of dummy units might offer the clearest preview yet of Apple’s upcoming Pro color palette.
Leaker Sonny Dickson has shared a new set of images showing what appear to be iPhone 17 Pro dummies in five different finishes: black, white, gray, dark blue, and a vivid orange. The standout this time is clearly the orange model, a tone far more saturated than Apple typically selects for its Pro lineup.
That orange hue may not make it to shelves exactly as shown. Earlier reports suggested Apple was testing a copper-adjacent tone, which could mean this bright finish ends up looking more metallic and muted in the final version. Still, compared to past Pro color options, it’s a noticeably bolder move.
Dark blue, also part of the dummy set, skews richer than the navy Apple introduced with earlier Pro generations. Black and white return as expected, though Dickson’s photos hint that this year’s black might go even darker than the iPhone 16 Pro’s shade. The inclusion of gray lines up with prior rumors as well, filling out a set that balances new experimentation with familiar tones.
Rumored iPhone 17 Pro Color | Notes from Leaks |
---|---|
Black | Darker than iPhone 16 Pro black |
White | Classic shade, potentially part of color testing efforts |
Gray | Long-rumored, recently surfaced again in dummy leaks |
Dark Blue | Slightly more saturated than past Pro blues |
Orange (Copper) | Brighter than usual; possibly refined to copper finish by launch |
While dummy units are often close matches in terms of size and design, their color accuracy is notoriously unreliable. Differences in lighting, materials, or even production techniques can throw off the final look. That played out last year with the iPhone 15 Pro’s Desert Titanium, which looked noticeably different in early leaks versus launch-day photos.
Even so, with Apple expected to announce the iPhone 17 series around September 9, these prototypes could be the closest early look we’ll get. If the orange shade makes the final cut, it would mark a rare splash of color in a Pro line that typically favors restrained finishes.
If this leak holds, the iPhone 17 Pro could be Apple’s most visually diverse Pro offering to date, which might appeal to users who want premium specs without the typical monochrome.
