“Shortcuts” app has solved quite a lot of complex tasks like downloading Twitter videos, tracking Amazon price history and what not. Guess what; I’ve discovered yet another smart shortcut in the wild which makes merging multiple PDFs on iOS devices incredibly straightforward.
If you have to deal with PDF files a lot on your device and wish to have an always-ready tool to combine them, “Merge PDFs” hack can be a perfect answer to your needs. Moreover, it also means you no longer have to heavily rely on the third-party PDF editors handle your files. Anyway, let’s get started!
How to Merge Multiple PDF Files into One on iOS Device Using Shortcuts
Step #1. First off, add the “Merge PDFs” shortcut to your library. Simply click the link given below and hit Get Shortcut.
Sticky note: Just like any other shortcut, you can further customize it in line with your requirements. However, I wouldn’t recommend you to do that, as it’s already fine-tuned to work reliably.
Step #2. Now, head over to the app where you have saved your PDF files and select them. I’ve stored them in the Files app. So, I’m going to launch this stock file manager and open the folder. Then, hit Select at the top right and choose PDFs.
Step #3. Next, you need to tap on the Share button.
Step #4. Next up, tap on the Shortcuts app in the share sheet and hit the Merge PDFs shortcut to run it.
Step #5. Now, you need to wait for sometime. A tiny menu will appear on the screen, enter a suitable name and hit Done.
Step #6. Finally, select the folder where you wish to save your PDF file and tap on Add to finish.
That’s all there is to it!
From what I’ve experienced, Shortcuts hugely enhance your productivity. So, never fail to take advantage of this thoughtfully designed app to carry out your work efficiently.
