  1. Open App Store on your app store and tap on search on ipad
  2. Type Instagram in the search field.
  3. Tap on Filters located before the search instagram and tap on filters
  4. Go to Supports and then select iPad Only.tap on supports and select ipad only in app store
  5. Download the app after accessing your Touch ID or entering your instagram on ipad via app store
  6. Now, open the Instagram app and log in to your instagram app and login to your account on ipad

You can see the Instagram app has occupied the resolution of an iPhone. It is because they haven’t developed a particular app for an iPad. However, you can change the resolution by 2X that will make the app look zoomed in. To do so, tap on the outward arrows button at the bottom right corner in the app.

  1. Can somebody explain why it is so hard for a company with the resources of Facebook to release a full resolution iPad version of Instagram? I would have thought a photo app works best with a larger screen. I would also like to run the app in a protected environment (like every app on iPad) and not in a browser which exchanges cookies with other websites. Privacy should be particularly important to a app to which people post personal photos.

  2. I agree with you, I would love a full-featured version of Instagram on iPad too. However, the app was conceptualized as a mobile-only platform so perhaps that’s one of the reasons they only focus on the mobile versions.
