If you’re planning to jump into GTA 6 as soon as possible, you’ll want to pay close attention to its release date and time. Why is that the case? Well, the game won’t have a global release on November 19, 2026. What Rockstar Games is planning this time around is a midnight release in every region.

This means gamers in countries such as New Zealand could get their hands on the game much earlier than those in Central America and Mexico. So, if you’re wondering when exactly GTA 6 will be available in your region, there’s no need to worry, as we’ve got you covered. Let’s take a look at GTA 6 global release times and dates.

GTA 6 launch times by region

As we’ve mentioned before, the GTA 6 release time will depend on your region, with the game becoming available at 12:00 AM local time. Both Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation players will be able to jump into the game at the same time in each region.

If you want to play GTA 6 as early as possible, Xbox players can change their console’s time zone to New Zealand through settings. However, this is a bit complicated on PlayStation as it requires purchasing the game on a new account.

With that in mind, here’s a complete breakdown of GTA 6 global release date and time, starting with the first region to get the game and ending with the last. –

GTA 6 PS5 edition controllers can now be pre-ordered

    GTA 6 PS5 edition controllers

The GTA 6 pre-orders are now live for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series/X consoles. There are two separate editions to choose from, each with its own perks and cosmetics that you’ll be able to obtain once the game becomes playable on November 19, 2026. However, if you’re a die-hard fan of the franchise and want to get something extra, you can also pick up the exclusive GTA 6 PS5 edition controllers.

In a recent State of Play event, Sony revealed a brand-new DualSense controller based on GTA 6. Available in both black and white variants for $84.99, the controllers fully embody the aesthetic of Leonida, with palm trees on the handles and a giant “VI” logo across the touchpad.

These might seem a bit pricey, but they’re a must-have for collectors and fans. If you want to get your hands on this controller before launch, the GTA 6-themed DualSense controllers are available to pre-order through Sony and major retailers.

    Conclusion

Many expected GTA 6 to have a simultaneous global launch, but as we’ve now learned, Rockstar is instead going with a midnight release in each specific region. This does mean that some players will be able to access the game much earlier than others, but there are ways to bypass this limitation depending on which console you’re playing on.
