Fortnite Override recently added its first new sprite, on top of the ones rolled out at launch, with the introduction of Storm Scout Sprite. Equipping it gives you a temporary overdrive effect after you take a certain amount of storm damage in the match. While this particular sprite may not exactly be rare, its Cheat Master variant is sort of hard to come across.
A majority of Cheat Master variant sprites can be easily unlocked by using Fortnite admin panel codes or lobby hacks from the home screen. However, the same method doesn’t apply to Cheat Master Storm Scout sprite as there is no code that grants you this item, making it a relatively rare sprite compared to other Cheat Master sprites.
Below, you can check out all the ways that you can actually try to get your hands on Cheat Master Storm Scout Sprite. Additionally, the locations where this sprite has been encountered by streamers before have also been compiled in this article.
Ways to get Cheat Master Storm Scout Sprite in Fortnite
Opening chests
As is obvious, the most traditional way of hunting for a sprite is by scouring the Battle Royale map for chests, specifically the blue Rare Chests. In the new map, Stone Sanctum, the maze to its south-east, and the three Pac-Man islands (located at the north, south-west, and south-east tips of the island) are the key points of interest where high-tier chests are commonly scattered throughout. Besides that, Cluster Coast and Golden Grove are also known to house highly rewarding chests.
Entering cheat codes
In Fortnite Override, cheat codes were introduced as interactive interfaces where you need to press your d-pad in a given order to unlock a sprite. They come in multiple different types, ranging from blue cheat codes that offer a rare sprite to yellow ones that offer a mythic sprite. There are a multitude of these cheat codes available throughout the in-game map.
You can get any rare sprite, including the Cheat Master Storm Scout Sprite, relatively quick by focusing on map locations most concentrated with cheat codes. As per Fortnite.gg, the top-three places that meet such a requirement are Heatwave Harbor, Cluster Coast, and Shaken Sanctuary. Moreover, the parts surrounding the center of the map are also fairly abundant in terms of cheat codes.
You may also use a Cheat Code Locator, available for purchase for 1,500 Sprite Dust at in-game Extraction Sites, to reveal the locations of cheat codes on the map. But before that, don’t forget to claim a total of four such items for free by entering “FindItChat” and “SurviveTheNight” Lobby Hacks into the admin panel.
Indexing from a friend
If none of the above methods work or you just want this sprite the easier way, you can try indexing it from another Fortnite player. There are some players on the game’s official Discord who are willing to share their sprite with others.
Once you find someone like that, join a match together and, when they drop the desired sprite for you, extract the same. Doing so will index the sprite into your Sprite collection. In the next game, you can return the sprite to its original owner and use Sprite Dust to regenerate your own.
Rounding up
Fortnite devs leaving Cheat Master Storm Scout Sprite from their lobby hacks list does make it quite a rare possession. However, the prevalence of cheat codes in the Fortnite Override map ensures that players have a reasonable chance to find this sprite.
Besides this one sprite, there are a few more that players would be busy catching in the coming days, thanks to the rollout of Fortnite v42.10 update on Thursday. The latest content drop added fan-made sprites such as the Onigiri Sprite and IP-inspired ones such as the Mega Man Sprite, breathing new life into the sprite hunt this season.
