Apple has finally entered the foldable phone race with the iPhone Duo, its first-ever foldable iPhone. And, similar to the iPhone 18 Pro series, Apple has given it a fresh set of wallpapers to match the new design. The good news is that you don’t have to wait for the iPhone Duo to arrive to use them. What I like about the new iPhone Duo wallpapers is that Apple hasn’t gone overboard with the design. Instead, the wallpapers feature a beautiful landscape with sweeping desert dunes, layered mountain peaks, and a soft sky.
The Light version has a warm, almost sunrise-like appearance. I particularly like how the pale blue sky transitions into golden tones above the mountains, giving it a bright and peaceful look.
The Dark version is my favorite of the two. Again, it is the same landscape but the dark blue sky, along with the purple colors and darker foreground dunes gives it an entirely different look.

Why I love the new iPhone Duo wallpaper
What makes this wallpaper memorable is its simplicity. There are no futuristic graphics, bright colors, or obvious references to a foldable phone. Instead, Apple has opted for an open nature landscape with the display taking center stage.
The layered mountains also create a fantastic sense of depth. When I look at the wallpaper, my eye naturally moves from the finely textured dunes in the foreground toward the distant mountain range.
Apple’s foldable has two displays, so the wallpaper collection works well on different screen layouts. The iPhone Duo has a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display, with both screens designed to maintain visual continuity when you move between them. Thus, you can put either version on a regular iPhone or Android.

Apple announced the iPhone Duo on September 9, 2026, marking its first step into the foldable iPhone category. It will come in two colors, namely the Star White and the Night Sky, which will hit the market from October 23.
Until then, the wallpaper is probably the easiest way to give your current phone a little iPhone Duo makeover.
