#2. buddhify 2

Buddhify Meditation App for iPhone & iPad

buddhify 2 goes by the “urban meditation app” tagline for its urban-centric focus. It is largely for people living busy city lives. Buddhify is designed to help you relax/meditate on the go: while you walk, while you commute, at the gym, or at home sweet home. There are not umpteen options to configure. You just set the location (four), a style/flavor of meditation and the length (two options: 3mins and 10mins). It’s unlike most other full-fledged meditation app on this list but it’s very specific to urban types.

  • 32 custom-written urban meditation tracks
  • Four styles or flavours of meditation
  • Check-in system allows you to measure how you’re doing
  • Dashboard showing your usage and progress

  • Levon Terteryan

Great article. I use Zenify mobile app to keep myself mindful. It’s a new app that trains mindfulness and self-awareness through alerts with short meditative assignments (available both for iOS and Android)

  • Pointy Hound

After the first 10 sessions, Headspace is now a whopping £60/ year – payable in advance! None of the extra meditations are free, as your review states, in fact. I started the free “take 10” programme and have liked it, but that is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on an app IMHO…so i’m going to try some of the alternatives first!

  • Hi Jignesh!

Thanks so much for putting this list together!

We just launched PINE: Your daily check-in, a mobile app that enables you to check-in with yourself on a daily basis. PINE is part mindfulness, part journalling, all with a focus on being well. You’re able to add friends on PINE, where you can send gentle nudges to one another as reminders to check-in with yourselves daily, helping to make it a habit.

If you’re on the iPhone, would love for you to check it out at and let us know what you think. Android is coming in early January 2015.
