The iconic deer antagonist of 99 Nights In The Forest, simply known as The Deer, has landed in Fortnite as a skin. This is the latest of the horror franchise collabs that the online multiplayer title has been delivering throughout the October-long Fortnitemares event.
For those unaware, 99 Nights In The Forest is a co-op survival horror Roblox game developed by Grandma’s Favourite Games. As such, it is sort of a unique team-up that brings two of the biggest sandbox platforms in gaming today, Fortnite and Roblox, together in a first-of-its-kind crossover.
Being part of a limited-time promotion, the Deer skin, priced at 1,500 V-Bucks in the Item Shop, is available until October 16, 5 PM PT or 8 PM ET. Alternatively, it can also be obtained via the 99 Nights In The Forest Bundle, which also comes with some themed extras and is selling for 2,000 V-Bucks during the same period.

Rounding up
With the inclusion of 99 Nights In The Forest into the cosmetics catalog, Fortnite has introduced another viral indie hit in the space of a week or so, after adding Five Nights at Freddy’s first earlier this month. It will be interesting to see if there are any more majorly popular independently developed titles making their way to Epic’s online multiplayer before the end of this season.
Regardless, Fortnite Override has shaped up to be a rather content-rich season in terms of licensed IP content. From fan-favorite skins of previous collabs such as the Resident Evil skins and Universal Monsters skins to highly anticipated skins from new partnerships with Kingdom Hearts, Persona, and more, there’s been a wide variety to choose from. This has reasonably ensured there’s something interesting at present for everyone who plays Fortnite, whether it be a longtime fan or a newcomer.
