The Fortnite x Persona 5 Royal collab has finally landed and, with it, the Morgana Sprite has also arrived in the game. It makes Persona the fifth video game franchise to get its own sprite in Fortnite, after IPs such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Pac-Man.
For the past few weeks, Fortnite has been increasingly teasing the onset of its collab with Persona 5 Royal, the highly popular JRPG title, with protagonist Joker headlining the discussion. On September 24, the game drip-fed its first bit of Persona 5 Royal content as the Morgana Sprite rolled out for everyone. Below, you can learn everything about what it does and how you can get your hands on it.
Morgana Sprite: Ability and variants
The Morgana Sprite, when equipped, amplifies the effect of consuming healing items. In other words, it gives your player character more health or shield when you use such an item. This particular boost can prove very beneficial in the very early game, when you are yet to find enough health and shield consumables.
As you level up Morgana Sprite, the extra health you gain from health and shield consumables further increases. Towards the final stages of a Fortnite match, this boost can help you spend more time focusing on locating the remaining opponents rather than looking for more consumables.
How to get Morgana Sprite in Fortnite
There are a few different approaches you can take for getting your hands on Morgana Sprite. These include exploring the map for certain objects and connecting with other players to assist with the objective.
1. Use Cheat Codes to find Morgana Sprite
Morgana Sprite is an Epic-tier item, and there are several Epic Cheat Codes scattered throughout the Fortnite map, so it shouldn’t be that hard to claim one. While Epic and Legendary Cheat Codes have the best chances of providing this sprite, the Rare Cheat Codes can also do the job, although it’s not as likely.
When looking for cheat codes, it’s best to target the locations that house the most number of such items. Among the places in Battle Royale mode that fit this criterion are Heatwave Harbor, Cluster Coast, Sunken Shores, and Shaken Sanctuary.
Cheat codes can often be in the most unusual places, such as the roof of a house. As a result, some players resort to using a Cheat Code Locator to track their precise location. You can either get some of these for free by using Fortnite Lobby Hacks or purchase one from any Sprite Extraction Site using Sprite Dust.
2. Search high-tier chests for Morgana Sprite
Although cheat codes are the main way to obtain sprites in Fortnite Override, they can be obtained from chests as well. Since regular chests don’t offer much besides weapon loot, you should keep an eye out for Rare Chests or higher-tier chests in order to maximize your chances of getting the Morgana Sprite using this approach.
To open as many rare-tier chests as you can in a single match, covering the areas most densely populated with these objects first is the recommended strategy. Such locations on the Battle Royale map are The Battlewoods, Stone Sanctum, Cluster Coast, the Pac-Man islands, and the maze northeast of Sunken Shores.
3. Take help from a friend
If ransacking chests and hunting for cheat codes is something you don’t want to indulge in, you can fast-track your way to a Morgana Sprite by taking help from another player. You can visit the official Fortnite Discord and find a Morgana Sprite owner willing to help with this.
Once you do that, you need to join at least two Battle Royale matches with him. In the first one, make sure to collect the desired dropped sprite and extract it. Doing this will index that sprite into your collection for good. For the next match, you have to simply equip the newly claimed sprite and return it to its original owner.
Afterward, you can go to the Override tab in Fortnite and, under the Sprites section, recall the Morgana Sprite in exchange for some Sprite Dust.
