Join Apple’s Mindful Month on October 10 to earn special stickers by practicing 10 minutes of mindfulness, emphasizing mental health as part of wellness.
Apple is once again using the Apple Watch to encourage users to slow down and take care of their mental health. The company has announced its next Activity Challenge called Mindful Month, which will take place on Friday, October 10, marking World Mental Health Day.
Apple’s Mindful Month challenge aims to bring attention to mindfulness, meditation, and self-care. On October 10, Apple Watch users can earn a special award by recording 10 minutes of mindfulness or meditation using any app that adds mindful minutes to the Health app, including Apple’s built-in Mindfulness app or popular third-party options like Headspace.
Those who complete the task will unlock exclusive animated stickers for use in the Messages app. The challenge’s simple goal reflects Apple’s ongoing effort to highlight that mental wellbeing is as important as physical fitness.
This isn’t Apple’s first time promoting mindfulness through its wearable. The company introduced the Mindful Month challenge in 2024, and it quickly became a fan favorite among Apple Watch users. Last year’s event rewarded users for completing 10 mindful minutes, just like this year, aligning the campaign with World Mental Health Day.
Apple has been expanding its wellness features across its ecosystem. The Journal app on iPhone encourages users to write reflections, while Focus modes on iOS help reduce distractions during work or rest. Apple Fitness+ also includes guided meditation and relaxation sessions, giving users more ways to participate in mindful activities.
Mindful Month joins a lineup of recurring Apple Watch challenges that promote movement, community, and wellness. The most recent challenge in August 2025 celebrated National Parks, where users earned rewards for completing a 20-minute workout. Like previous events, these limited-time challenges keep users motivated by offering new goals and collectible awards.
Apple’s mindful approach shows how its Watch is evolving beyond fitness tracking to support overall wellbeing, helping users not just close their rings, but also take a moment to breathe.
