Apple may be preparing a bolder color lineup for the iPhone 18 Pro this year. New photos shared by LusiRoy8 on X show alleged iPhone 18 Pro rear chassis parts in three finishes: Light Blue, Dark Cherry, and Black or Dark Gray.
The images do not show the full phone, and Apple has not confirmed any iPhone 18 Pro colors yet. Still, the photos line up with earlier rumors that Apple’s next Pro models could move away from the iPhone 17 Pro’s current color set and bring back a darker finish alongside a new signature shade.
LusiRoy8 has also shared related iPhone 18 Pro Max case footage showing the same broader color direction:
Dark Cherry is the standout color
The most interesting part of the leak is Dark Cherry. In the photos, the finish looks closer to a deep wine or purple-red shade than a bright red. That would make it feel more like a Pro color than the usual Product Red-style finish Apple has used on non-Pro iPhones in the past.
Apple has used one standout finish to define recent Pro generations. If Dark Cherry is real, it could play that role for the iPhone 18 Pro, much like Cosmic Orange did for the iPhone 17 Pro.
The Light Blue option is softer and more familiar. It looks closer to Apple’s past pale blue finishes, while the Black or Dark Gray chassis would give Pro buyers the darker option many users still ask for.
Silver may still be missing from the photos
The leaked images show three finishes, but earlier rumors have pointed to a four-color iPhone 18 Pro lineup: Light Blue, Dark Cherry, Dark Gray or Black, and Silver.
That means Silver may simply be absent from this batch of photos. It is also possible Apple is still testing finishes and may drop or rename colors before launch.
Leaks this early are never final. Chassis parts, dummy units, and accessory samples can give a useful preview, but Apple can still change the exact shade, material finish, or marketing name before the phones are announced.
The iPhone 18 Pro launch is still months away
Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September 2026, reportedly alongside its first foldable iPhone. The standard iPhone 18 lineup may arrive later, which could make the Pro models the main iPhone story this fall.
For now, the safest read is that Apple’s next Pro colors are starting to take shape, but they are not official. If the LusiRoy8 photos are accurate, Dark Cherry could be the color everyone talks about when the iPhone 18 Pro launches.
