How to Share Shortcuts in iOS 12 on iPhone and iPad

Recently, while exploring “Shortcuts” app, I discovered some of the best Siri Shortcuts to carry out several oft-repeated tasks faster. From converting photos to GIF, sharing Apple Music profile to getting direction for the next event and more, the app has carved out tons of coolest time-saving hacks to cut the chase. During the long spin, I also found out a quick way to share the custom Siri Shortcuts with others.

iOS 12 lets you create the iCloud link of the shortcut you want to blast through social media or share with some of your close friends. Once shared, anyone can view its contents–not just your iOS buddies but also Android counterparts. Let me walk you through!

How to Share Shortcuts in iOS 12 on iPhone and iPad Using iCloud Link

Assuming that you have already created the shortcut.

Step #1. Tap on Library tab → Next, tap on more button (…) on the shortcut in question.

Step #2. Tap on the Share button.

Step #3. Now, you need to choose the medium/app (through which you want to share the content) in the share sheet. I’m going to select Messages app.

Step #4. A popup will show up on the screen saying, “Anyone with access to this shared link will be able to view the contents of this shortcut.” Now it will create an iCloud link of the Shortcut. Tap on Share. Then, enter the name of the receiver and send it as usual.

Alternately, you can also Copy iCloud Link to share, paste, or save it anywhere you want.
