Note that default text size of Finder items is 12, which can be decreased to 10 and 11, and increased maximum up to 16.

Step #1. Choose any folder that contain files.

Step #2. Bring down the “View” menu → Click on “Show View Options“.

A “Preferences” window will open on the screen.

Step #3. Find the “Text Size” drop-down menu.

Step #4. Select the text size you want to keep → Click on “Use as Default” button seen under the same navigation panel as “Text Size” option.

This will set the size of text in all other Finder windows. If you haven't selected “Use as Default“, you can see the change in font size only in that particular folder within folder.
