Wrapping up
Fortnite has built a reputation for bringing some of the biggest names in sports, entertainment, and pop culture into the game, and Lionel Messi is another standout addition to that growing list. Previous football icons such as Neymar Jr., Vinícius Jr., David Beckham, Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, and Marco Reus have all received their own cosmetics over the years.
With the FIFA World Cup 2026 drawing to a close, Epic Games has also introduced several football-themed additions, including the Soccer Sprite. It’ll be interesting to see whether more World Cup-inspired cosmetics or collaborations arrive in the Item Shop over the coming weeks.
