Apple is expanding its Formula 1 push inside Apple Maps, this time focusing on Miami just days before the first US race of the 2026 season.
The company has started rolling out a new Apple Maps experience for the Miami Grand Prix, offering a detailed 3D view of the Miami International Autodrome along with practical navigation tools for fans attending the event.
This builds on Apple’s earlier F1 integration for the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Australian Grand Prix 2026, part of a broader plan to bring similar experiences to races around the world.
A closer look at the Miami circuit in Apple Maps
The Miami update centers on a highly detailed 3D model of the circuit. Apple Maps now highlights key locations across the track, including grandstands, the marina area, and the finish line. The pit building is also fully rendered, complete with race cars placed in position.
Beyond landmarks, Apple has added track-level detail such as curb striping and individual turns, giving a more precise sense of how the circuit is laid out.
Built for fans attending race week
Apple Maps is also adding curated guides aimed at people traveling to Miami for the race. One of them, “A Local’s Guide to Miami F1 Race Week,” focuses on places to eat and shop across the city. Another guide highlights spots located close to the circuit for quick access during the event.
For on-ground navigation, Apple Maps will surface detailed venue information including entry gates, race entrances, pedestrian bridges, restrooms, and water stations. The goal is to reduce friction once you are at the track, where crowd movement and layout can get confusing.
Part of a broader Apple and F1 strategy
This update is one piece of Apple’s wider push into Formula 1 coverage. Alongside Maps integrations, Apple TV subscribers can now stream all F1 races at no extra cost starting this season, tightening the connection between Apple’s services and the sport.
With Miami now live, it is clear Apple is treating these race-specific experiences as a recurring feature rather than a one-off. Expect similar rollouts for upcoming Grand Prix events throughout the year.
