Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup comes in bold new colors like Cosmic Orange and Light Gold, alongside classics like Black and White. Here’s how to pick.
Apple has officially launched the iPhone 17 lineup. Every year, alongside the usual safe picks like white, black, and grey, Apple adds new shades to grab attention. That makes choosing harder than it sounds. Do you stick with a classic white or gamble on the bold new Orange? If you’re torn between safe and standout, here’s a closer look at the lineup.
The base iPhone 17 is where Apple offers the widest mix of playful and practical tones. You can go bright with Lavender, Mist Blue, or Sage if you want something fresh. Or, if you prefer a timeless look, Black and White are still here. The Mist Blue and Lavender stand out as the youthful choices, while Sage gives a more grounded, earthy vibe.
iPhone 17 Colors:
Color preference is subjective, but if you ask me, I would definitely choose Mist Blue or Sage.
Replacing the Plus model, the iPhone Air is slimmer and built from titanium, which already sets it apart. Its colors feel just as refined: Space Black and Cloud White for minimalists, Sky Blue if you want something light but trendy, and Light Gold, which is almost jewelry-like. If you want a phone that looks as premium as it feels, Light Gold is the one most likely to turn heads.
iPhone Air Colors:
After having a hands-on with the device, we prefer the Sky Blue version. However, all the colors look great in the iPhone Air lineup.
The 17 Pro models take on a more professional palette. They’re available in Deep Blue, Cosmic Orange, and Silver. Apple is clearly going for fewer but bolder choices here. Cosmic Orange is the statement color, loud yet elegant. Deep Blue feels classy and versatile, while Silver is the safe, sophisticated pick that never ages. Some sources also mention Black and White options, but Apple’s launch focus seems to be on these three.
iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max Colors:
With the Pro models, nothing stands out quite like the Cosmic Orange shade. However, it’s certainly a bold choice.
Here’s how the lineup looks after Apple’s September 9 launch event:
Pre-orders start on September 12, with availability in stores from September 19.
If you like phones that blend in, Black, White, and Silver are always safe. For those who want personality without being too loud, Mist Blue, Sage, and Deep Blue strike a balance. And if you want your phone to be a conversation starter, Lavender, Light Gold, or Cosmic Orange will do the job.
