Not sure which dress you will look dashing at your friend’s marriage party? You can use polls on Instagram on your iPhone and iPad to ask your friends and followers about it and choose the cloth that will help you become the darling of everyone’s eye. Yes, you got it right!
Instagram now lets you conduct a poll to help you make a better decision on an important thing. Just like your story, it also disappears along with the results after 24 hours. Jump over to add an interactive poll sticker to your Instagram story on your iOS device!
How to Add Poll to Instagram Story on iPhone and iPad
Step #1. Launch Instagram on your iOS device and then tap on the Home tab.
Step #2. Now, either tap on the camera icon at the top left corner or swipe right from left to bring up the camera.
Step #3. Next, capture a cool photo or video. Just tap on the shutter button to snap a photo or touch and hold on to it to take a short video. Tap on the two-tiny arrows to switch between rear and front cameras.
Or you can tap on the icon at the lower-left corner to choose any other item from your Photos library, which you had snapped in the last 24 hours.
Step #4. Next, tap the Emoji icon located at the top or swipe up from the bottom.
Step #5. Tap on the Poll button.
Step #6. Now, you need to type out the question you wish to ask and accordingly customize the answers. Currently, you get the option to define only two possible answers.
Take full advantage of all the creative tools like color picker for text and brushes and alignment tool for stickers and text to make your polls look neat.
When you select a color for your text or drawing tool, a new eyedropper icon will show up on the far left.
You can use it to select any color from your photo or video and apply it to your text or drawing tool.
When you position text or a sticker on your photo or video, you will see new blue lines that allow you to keep it in the center.
Step #7. Tap Next to continue, select Your Story at the top, and hit Send to publish the poll.
That’s it!
Your friends and followers can now vote by tapping one of the two options you’ve provided. They will also be able to see the results in real-time. Whenever someone votes, they can see which of the two choices is in the lead.
How to See Poll Results in Instagram on iPhone and iPad
Step #1. Open Instagram on your iOS device.
Step #2. Now, tap on your profile at the top left corner.
Step #3. Then, tap on the story and swipe up to check out the viewer’s list.
Step #4. Check out how many votes each option received. Also, find out who voted and what option they chose.
