How to Enable/Disable Touch Bar Zoom on MacBook Pro

 Step #1. First off, click the System Preferences icon in the Dock on your Mac.

Step #2. Next, click on Accessibility icon.

Alternately, triple-press the Touch ID button or simply press the Option (⌥)-Command (⌘)-F5 on the keyboard to bring up the Accessibility settings window on the screen.

Step #3. Next, you need to click on Zoom which is under Vision section. Then, tick the checkbox next to “Enable Touch Bar zoom.”

Later, if you want to disable Touch Bar zoom, you need to deselect the checkbox.

Note: Just in case Touch Bar zoom is not available, you need to turn off VoiceOver on your Mac. Go to System Preferences Accessibility VoiceOver and disable it.

How to Use Touch Bar Zoom on MacBook Pro

In order to see the zoom view of the Touch Bar, touch and drag with one finger on the Touch Bar.

Increase or Decrease the Zoom

In order to increase or decrease the zoom, press and hold the Command () key on the keyboard while pinching two fingers open or closed on the physical Touch Bar.

Change the Magnification Level

To change the magnification level, you need to hold down the Command key and use a two-finger pinch gesture.

Split-tap or Select an Item

Touch and hold an item on the physical Touch Bar and tap anywhere on the Touch Bar with another finger in order to activate the item.

Synthesize A Tap

While panning with one finger, simply tap with a second finger in order to synthesize a tap. Then, you need to hold the second finger down and move both fingers together to synthesize a tap down and drag where your first finger is.

Activate Direct Touch-Mode

Simply hold your finger still in one location to trigger direct-touch mode. It enables you to interact directly with the control under your finger.

Choose and Activate an Item

Just slide your finger on the physical Touch Bar until the circle on an item you wish to choose. Then, continue to hold your finger there until the circle changes color to select the item.
