Enable QR Code Scanning Feature on iPhone and iPad
Step #1. Open Settings app on your iOS device → Scroll down and tap on Camera.
Step #2. Now, turn on the switch next to Scan QR Code, if already not ON.

Step #1. Launch the Camera app on your device.
Step #2. Now, point your Camera at the QR code for a few seconds. Make sure the code is visible in the camera’s viewfinder. Once the code is scanned, you will get the notification. For instance, when I scanned the QR code of iGeeksBlog, I got the App Store link in the popup. Now, you just need to tap on the notification to complete the action.
How to Disable QR Code Scanning
For whatever reason, you don’t want to use this feature anymore? No problem, you can easily turn it off.
Step #1. Open Settings on your device → Tap on Camera.
Step #2. Turn off the switch next to Scan QR Codes.

Google Chrome being such a popular web browser, it’s added more value to it, hasn’t it? So the next time, you come across any QR code, fire up the web browser to instantly scan it.
Step #1. Make sure to update the Chrome app on your iDevice.
Step #2. On your iPhone or iPad, Apply 3D Touch/Force Touch.
Step #3. Now, select the Scan QR Code in the shortcut menu.
Step #4. Allow the app to access the Camera. Tap on OK in the popup menu.
