How to Pair AirPods with your iPhone
It’s incredibly simple to pair AirPods with iPhone running iOS 10 or later.
Step #1. Press the Home button of your iPhone to unlock it.
Step #2. Open the AirPods case. Then hold it next to your iPhone.
Step #3. You should see setup animation on your iPhone.
Step #4. Tap on Connect, then tap Done.
If you want to pair your AirPods with a different device (a non-Apple device or a device that’s not logged in to your iCloud account), you need to put the pods back in the case.
Open the lid. Then, you have to hold the setup button on the back of the case until you see the status light flash white. Now, pair the earphones as usual.

Once you pair AirPods with your iPhone, iCloud will automatically sync the pairing with iPad powered by iOS 10 and signed into the same account.
How to Pair AirPods with Apple Watch
When you pair AirPods with your iPhone, they automatically connect to your Apple Watch. However, you can connect the smartwatch and the earphones manually as well pretty like any Bluetooth devices.
To do so, put the earphones in the charging case → open the lid → press and hold the setup button on the rear side until the status light starts flashing white. Now, open Settings app on your Apple Watch → Bluetooth. Next, the watch will search for the earphones and connect to them.
How to Pair AirPods with Mac
When you pair AirPods with your iPhone, they will automatically be paired with your Mac, if it supports Handoff and is signed in to iCloud using the same Apple ID. One more thing, your computer must be running macOS Sierra or later.
Just open the AirPods case → click the Volume control in the menu bar and select AirPods.
In case your earphones are not connected to your iOS device, you have the option to pair them directly to your Mac.
Step #1. Put the AirPods in their case, if they are not already. Then, open the lid.
Step #2. Now, you need to press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the status light starts flashing white.
Step #3. Next, click on Apple menu on your Mac and select System Preferences.
Step #4. Click Bluetooth.
Step #5. Finally, select AirPods in the Devices list and then click Pair.
How to Pair AirPods with Apple TV
Apple TV doesn’t pair with AirPods automatically just like Mac, Apple Watch or iPad via iCloud. You have to pair the earphones with your Apple TV manually.
Step #1. Open AirPods charging case.
Then, you have to press and hold the pairing button located on the back of the case.
Step #2. Next, you have to launch Settings on your Apple TV
Step #3. Click on Remotes and Devices → Bluetooth.
Step #4. Finally, select AirPods from the list.

You can connect the wireless earphones to your non-Apple devices pretty much the same way as any other Bluetooth devices. Simply put the AirPods in the pairing mode (check the method above) → head over to the Bluetooth settings on your device and select the earphones.

One thing you must know that when you unpair the earphones from your iPhone, it will automatically be disconnected from your iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch.
If you disconnect the earphones from the iPad, they will be unpaired only from the iPad.
Step #1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
Step #2. Tap on Bluetooth. Then, you need to tap on the information button beside your AirPods.
Step #3. Tap Forget this Device. You need to Forget Device to confirm.
In order to unpair other devices that have been paired via an iCloud, tap on Forget Device again to confirm.

Once you unpair your AirPods from your iPhone, they will be automatically disconnected from your Apple Watch.
How to Unpair your AirPods from you Mac
No longer want to use AirPods with your Mac? You can easily unpair it. When you unpair AirPods with your iPhone, it will be automatically disconnected from your Mac.
But if you unpair the earphones from your Mac, they will only unpair from your Mac.
Step #1. First off, you need to hold down the Alt key and click on the Bluetooth icon in the Mac menubar
Step #2. Now, you have to click on your AirPods in the Bluetooth device section.
Step #3. Click on Remove.
You will have to click on Remove again to confirm.
How to Unpair AirPods from Apple TV
Don’t want the earphones to remain paired with your Apple TV? It’s easy to unpair them.
Step #1. Open Settings on your Apple TV.
Step #2. Next, you need to click on Remotes and Devices → Bluetooth.
Step #3. Locate your headphones in the list and select them.
Step #4. Now, you have to select Forget Device.
Step #5. Choose Forget Device again to confirm.
