The iconic Sonic villain, Dr Eggman, has arrived in Fortnite, thanks to an ongoing collab between Epic Games and Sega. For a limited time, fans of the blue speedster can grab skins inspired by the rotund villain and other memorable characters such as Shadow and Knuckles in the Item Shop. On the other hand, the Sonic the Hedgehog skin is on sale as part of Fortnite Override’s Battle Pass, worth 800 V-Bucks, throughout the season.
While Dr Eggman and Knuckles the Echidna skins can be purchased for 1,500 V-Bucks, the Shadow the Hedgehog skin is pricier at 1,800 V-Bucks. These three outfits and related cosmetics are available to buy until August 30, 2026, by 5 PM PT or 8 PM ET.
Steps to claim the Dr Eggman skin in Fortnite
- In Fortnite, navigate to the Shop tab.
- Next, scroll down to the Sonic the Hedgehog section and select your desired skin.
- Finally, press and hold the Purchase button to complete your transaction.
By shelling out V-Bucks for the Dr Eggman skin, you will also get the Orbot and Cubot back bling for free. This item otherwise costs 300 V-Bucks when purchased solo from the in-game store.
