Apple launches Year of the Horse AirPods Pro 3 for Lunar New Year
Apple has launched a Year of the Horse edition AirPods Pro 3 for Lunar New Year, featuring festive design details with the same premium audio experience.

Apple is ringing in Lunar New Year 2026 with a limited edition of the AirPods Pro 3, commemorating the Year of the Horse. These specially designed earbuds are being offered in select markets across Asia, showcasing a unique horse engraving on their charging case.
This engraving is a one-off for the Lunar New Year edition and isn’t available through Apple’s regular options. Despite the festive appearance and packaging, the earbuds themselves remain the standard AirPods Pro 3.
Apple has stated there are no hardware updates, sound adjustments, or additional features accompanying this release. The company frames this edition as a seasonal collector’s item rather than any sort of tech upgrade.
Limited Regional Availability
These special edition AirPods Pro 3 are being sold in several regions, including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore, for immediate order.
Much like last year’s Year of the Snake edition, the Year of the Horse AirPods Pro will only be available while stocks last. Apple typically does not replenish these seasonal items once they’ve sold out, sticking to their finite nature.
Same AirPods Pro 3 at the Same Price
Aside from the engraving and refreshed packaging, the Year of the Horse earbuds are unchanged from the regular model. They’re priced the same, with buyers not receiving any added features except for the limited edition design.
More Year of the Horse Accessories
Besides the AirPods Pro 3, Apple is rolling out a wider Lunar New Year collection for 2026. This set includes Year of the Horse-themed iPhone cases, power banks, AirTag covers, organizers, and travel chargers. Additionally, some regions are offering exclusive third-party accessories, like themed cases from Tech21.
So, how do you feel about Apple’s Year of the Horse AirPods Pro 3? Would the engraving be reason enough for you to consider buying them? We invite you to share your thoughts in the comments below.
