Apple reportedly generated more than $10 billion in annual sales in India for the first time. Bloomberg reports that revenue grew at a double-digit rate in the 12 months through March 2026, up from about $9 billion a year earlier.
The figure comes from a person familiar with the private information, not Apple. The source said iPhones accounted for a significant majority of sales, while demand for iPads and MacBooks also increased. Apple did not respond to Bloomberg’s request for comment.
This is not Apple Store revenue alone
The $10 billion covers Apple’s overall sales in India. It should not be read as revenue generated only by the company’s physical stores.
Apple also does not publish India as a separate sales region. Its latest filing for the period ending in March groups the country into Rest of Asia Pacific, so the reported figure cannot be checked against a public India breakdown.
Apple’s retail footprint has tripled since 2023
Apple opened its first two stores in India in Mumbai and New Delhi in 2023. Its Noida and second Mumbai expansion helped take the physical store count to six by February 2026, with locations across Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, and Noida.
That expansion gives more customers a direct way to try devices, trade in older products, get financing, and receive support. It also gives Apple more control over how its products are sold in one of its fastest-growing markets.
India is also a major iPhone manufacturing base, but that is a separate part of the story. The reported $10 billion measures sales in India, not the value of Indian-made iPhones exported to other countries.
