Google Maps has arrived at the iMessage App Store. Hence, you can now share your current location on iMessage via Google Maps on your iPhone. How to Add Google Maps to iMessage App Drawer on iPhone
You need to first add Google Maps to iMessage app drawer in order to share your location.
Step #1. Launch Messages app on your device and open any conversation.
Step #2. Now, tap on the App Store button.
If the keyboard is showing up, you need to tap on the arrow button then tap on App Store button.
Step #3. Next up, tap on the app drawer button at the bottom left corner.
Step #4. Now, tap on Store button.
Step #5. Tap on Manage tab at the top.
Step #6. Turn on the switch next to Google Maps → Tap on Done at the top right corner to confirm.
Make sure to allow Google Maps to Access your location. To do so;
- Tap on Settings → Tap on Privacy
- Tap on Location Services
- Tap on Google Maps
- Tap on While using App
Step #1. Open Messages app → Tap on App Store button.
Step #2. Tap on app drawer icon at the bottom left corner.
Step #3. Now, find Google Maps and tap on it.
Step #4. Check out your current location on the map. Tap on the Send button.
