Group Notifications is the best solution for keeping the Notification Center streamlined. Frankly speaking, I had been pining for this neat feature to arrive for long. That being said, not everyone may find it spot on and would instead want to disable group notification on your iPhone or iPad to continue to receive alerts in scattered form.
Keep in mind; there is no option to turn off notification grouping for all apps at once. Hence, you will have to repeat the process for each app which alerts you don’t wish to stack anymore. Without making much ado, let me demonstrate how it’s done!
How to Turn Off Notification Grouping on iPhone or iPad
Step #1. Open Settings on your iOS device → Tap on Notifications.
Step #2. Next, select the app which notifications you don’t want to receive in groups anymore → scroll down and tap on Notification Grouping.
Step #3. Up next, select Off.
That’s it! Going forward the alerts from this app will no longer be stacked. As mentioned above, repeat the steps for each app which notifications you don’t want to group.
If you ever want to go back to the previous option, simply return to the same setting and pick Automatic or By App.
Over to You
Apart from grouping notifications, the operating system also lets you hide alerts during your bedtime. If you wish to have complete peace at night, the Bedtime Mode is the perfect solution for keeping distractions at bay.
