WhatsApp brought the voice calling feature to Android last month much to the envy of many iOS users. As an iPhone user, I just couldn’t wait for it to arrive sooner than later. Finally the wait is over! WhatsApp has rolled out voice calling feature to iOS in its latest update.
With the use of internet connection, WhatsApp calling feature allows you to call free. Unfortunately, a number of iPhone owners who had been craving for it to arrive on iOS have reported that it’s not enabled on their device even after updating WhatsApp to the latest version. So, why hasn’t WhatsApp calling been enabled on many iOS devices?
WhatsApp is yet to roll out its voice calling feature to all the iOS users globally. However, this new feature is expected to arrive in the full-fledged form in the next few days.
If you are one of the WhatsApp users who are willing to activate WhatsApp voice calling feature on your iPhone, here is the trick that might work. Though it’s not a perfect solution nor does it seem to be either, you can try your luck to see how it turns out for you. Let’s dive ahead to find out!
Tip to Fix WhatsApp Voice Calling Not Enabled on iPhone
#1. After you have successfully updated WhatsApp to the latest version on your iPhone, tell one of your friends to call you through WhatsApp voice calling. Though it might be better if you get call from iOS device which has voice calling enabled on it, even Android device might do the trick for you.
#2. When someone calls you through WhatsApp for the first time, you will receive a notification. When you receive the call, WhatsApp voice calling feature might get activated.
#3. If WhatsApp calling feature hasn’t yet been enabled, quit WhatsApp and restart your iPhone as usual.
#4. After your iPhone has restarted. Launch WhatsApp. Check out if voice calling icon appears next to your profile or not.
