WhatsApp Adds More Fun and Functionality for iPhone XR & iPhone XS Max Users

Ever since its launch and takeover by Facebook, WhatsApp has continuously proved its mettle. To hold its position in the market, the chat client has always released impressive and useful features for the users worldwide. The new features are especially interesting to Apple’s iPhone XR and iPhone XS Max users.

If you have updated WhatsApp’s 2.18.100 version, you will be able to enjoy native support for the display resolutions used by Apple’s latest smartphones. You can now see more of your conversations on your phone’s screen.

Earlier, there was no difference between the display settings of iPhone XS Max and iPhone X/XS. Users were offered the same amount of content on the screen; not it looked a little larger.

Another notable update is continuous playback of new voice messages. Earlier, users had to listen to voice messages by tapping individual messages. Now, users can play voice messages by tapping on one message, and the remaining messages will begin to play automatically. This means users are not supposed to tap that play button on each message individually.

A quick action menu is also there for iPhone users, who can now tap and hold a message to see those quick actions.

Is dark mode coming?

Since users spend a lot of time with this chat client, WhatsApp has plans to introduce dark mode. For OLED displays, this theme will be more useful and beneficial. It is universally known that darker screens consume less battery, as black pixels do not need to be lit. The dark mode is now one of the ways you can save battery on your iPhone XR and iPhone XS Max.
