Accessibility has long been one of my favorite features in iOS. Specifically primed to help the differently disabled people, it is widely appreciated for being a great asset. Whether it's the Greyscale mode, Reachability or the super handy Accessibility Shortcut, it has several highly advanced features.

iOS 10 has added “Color Filters” as part of Accessibility suite. If you have difficulty in looking at the bright color of your device, you can filter it in order to make viewing more convenient. Let's find out how you can get the best use of it!

How to Use Color Filters in iOS 10 on iPhone or iPad

Step #1. Launch Settings app on your iOS device → Tap on General.

Step #2. Now, you need to tap on Accessibility.

Step #3. Under Vision, tap on Display Accommodations.

Step #4. Up next, tap on Color Filters.

Step #5. Toggle on the switch next to Color Filters.

Step #6. Next, you have as many as five options to choose from:

  • Grayscale
  • Red/Green Filter
  • Green/Red Filter
  • Blue/Yellow Filter
  • Color tint

Make sure to adjust the Intensity as well as Hue as per need.

Step #7. Once you are done, exit the settings.

If you no longer want to use Color Filters, you can disable it easily.

Step #1. Follow all the steps from 1 to 5 mentioned above.

Step #2. Now, toggle off the switch next to Color Filters.
