How to Turn Off/Disable QuickType in iOS 9 on iPhone and iPad

QuickType is a feature that displays word suggestion while typing anywhere on iOS 9. You can turn it Off or disable it on iPhone / iPad by following our tip.

QuickType feature of iOS 9 helps you to type quickly, as it predicts the words or phrases that are commonly used. In addition to that, the feature also evolves on its own by studying the words or phrases you use the most.

The impressive thing about the feature is that it automatically adjusts the style of suggestions with different apps like Mail, Message, etc. In case you wish to not have the suggestions, you can easily disable it.

How to Turn Off/Disable QuickType in iOS 9 on iPhone and iPad

Step #1. On your iPhone/iPad, launch the Settings app from Home Screen → Tap on General.

Step #3. Simply toggle OFF Predictive option to switch OFF QuickType feature.

Apart from this, there is one more quick way to toggle OFF QuickType. Go to Messages or Mail app, and tap on the text area to bring up the iOS keyboard. Tap the Globe at the bottom and you can see “Predictive” option along with on/off switch. You can turn QuickType On/Off from here as well.
