Many iPhone/iPad users have continued to report that Touch ID doesn’t work properly. Though Apple has released a number of updates in order to sort out the issue, it hasn’t completely resolved the discomforting bug.

#1. Touch ID is compatible with iPhone 5s, 6, 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.
#2. Make sure that your iPhone/iPad has the latest version of iOS installed.
#3. Ensure that your finger and the Home button of your device are clean and dry.
#4. While scanning your Touch ID, there are some important things which you need to keep in mind;
- Make sure you have covered the Home button completely.
- Don’t try to tap it too quickly.
- Don’t try to press the Home button hard. At the same time, you must ensure that you don’t move your finger.
- Must ensure that your finger touches the metal ring which is around the Home button.
#5. Make sure that the case or the screen protector doesn’t cover the Home button or the surrounding ring. If it does, you must remove it.

Step #1. Launch Settings.
Step #2. Tap on Touch ID and Passcode.
Step #3. Switch on iPhone Unlock or iTunes & App Store.
Step #4. Try to add another finger as usual ( Settings → Touch ID & Passcode → Add a Fingerprint.)
